Heroes VI alters some of the series' long-standing conventions, overhauling its chance-based skills system and reducing the number of resources in its economics model, and also introduces new mechanics, including a points-based reputation system and the ability to convert one faction's towns to another.
Campaign - Sheogh Sheogh Bounties: 5 Artifacts: 10 Battle Puzzles: 2 Side Quests: 5 After falling out of the portal Aidan lands in Sheogh, a hellish demon world. He should look familiar to you but that will become more clear in the future.
Pick up the gold and start moving towards the Portal. When 2 Demons zip through the Portal Aidan runs and hides into the cave to the right. Unfortunately he ends up in the middle of a demon meeting and right when you think something bad's going to go down something funny happens.
All of a sudden you got your own Horned Demons ( Horned Demon Core Units), Imps (Imp Core Units) and Hellhounds ( Hellhound Core Unit)! Of course, the High Chief isn't pleased and launches an attack with the Hellfire Launchers. You have to destroy all 3 of them but your units can only cross the lava using the platforms. They are moving so plan your moves. After creating some havoc Aidan will leave the cave again to battle the Demons you earlier fled from. Watch the events that happen after this battle before you finally will be able to move again. To the left of the gold we earlier picked up now stands a Demon named Glut.
We will come back for him later. One step past Glut is a Unit Dwelling where you can buy Nightmare ( Nightmare Elite Units).
You should be able to buy at least 2 or 3 of them. Time to move on towards the feisty woman Demon whose name is Jezebeth. She claims to be a succubus and has to listen to your command. Now why the hell does Aidan wants to fight here when he could've commanded here?!
No choice but to fight her. When the battle is over you yet again take command over her and force her to help you ( Succubus Elite Units). Hmmm I wonder.
Could it have anything to do with this mysterious dagger? Your next destination will be The Screaming Hag Inn.
Pick up the resources and go to the big building west. To gain access to this.establishment we first have to defeat the 2 bouncers at the front door. Take note of the Unit Dwelling to the left of the Screaming Hag Inn. You can buy Succubus Units here. Enter the Inn and have a conversation with Lorhish.
You will notice he's not quite happy that a human has entered the Inn so you're gonna have to fight again to show them who's boss. Lorhish will start in the middle, but each new turn he will move and summon Units. Sometimes he doesn't move and grabs a torch. When this happens he will attack the next turn. Try to focus your attacks on Lorhish to defeat him as quickly as possible.
Sad thing is that we had to hurt his dogs but now we at least know where Azexes hangs around. While still in the Screaming Hag Inn, talk to the Bounty Agent and accept all his offers. Loot the chest to the left of the Bounty Agent for find The Burning Horn ( Artifact 1/10). To the right side of the bar there is an entrance to a small cavern with 2 treasure chests. Open them to pick up the loot. Go back to the Inn and take note of the Demon sitting around a table with 2 Succubuses. His name is Dirge and he's a Lv 6 Demon.
We will come back for him later. Go outside and continue following the path South. You should be standing in front of a cave.
Upon entering we should see Dillon and he has 2 Battle Puzzles waiting for you ( Battle Puzzle 1/2 & Battle Puzzle 2/2). Move the rightmost Hellhound 4 columns to the left. Go 1 column to the right and remove the only Hellhound. This should create 2 attacks and a wall.
Move the 2 Horned Demons from outer left to outer right (underneath the orange Succubus). Remove the Hellhound in the rightmost column. Move 2 Hellhounds underneath the white Succubus to create 1 last attack unit. You get The Thorn Whip ( Artifact 2/10) for completing this puzzle. Talk to Dillon again to start the second Battle Puzzle.
Starting from the right-most column, move your cursor 2 columns to the left and remove the middle Horned Demon. This should create 2 attacks and a whole lot of walls. Remove the middle Horned Demon in the left most column. Move the purple Hellhound behind the other 2 Hellhounds. Move the white Nightmare Unit to where you picked up the purple Hellhound.
Move the 2 remaining Horned Demons behind the orange Nightmare and move the last 2 Imps behind the white Nightmare. To the left of Dillon is a crate with ore and a Unit Dwelling where you can buy Abyssal Lord ( Abyssal Lord Champion Unit). Go down and to the left to pick up the gold and open the treasure chest with The Rage Shield inside ( Artifact 4/10). To the right you can find Ra Stavari, but he's still too high in level, so leave the cave for now. Go all the way down, where the Nightmare Unit Dwelling is, and take your chance on Glut ( Bounty 1/5). On your way back to the Inn (to collect your reward) you should notice an elf named Talnir ( Side Quest 1/5).
Defeating him will get you The Celerity Ring ( Artifact 5/10). Take the path leading North from the Inn. After defeating the Demon you can go up and a bit to the left. There will be a Pit Fiend Unit Dwelling ( Pit Fiend Champion Unit).
Further on you should come across another bounty, Drak ( Bounty 2/5), a treasure chest with The Pit Master's Tail ( Artifact 6/10) and Moody & Gut ( Side Quest 2/5). Just hit the Green and Yellow Demons and you'll be awarded with The Volcano Armor ( Artifact 7/10). Go back to the Inn to collect your Bounty reward and teach Dirge a lesson. You should be at Lv 6 by now so he shouldn't be too much of a problem now ( Side Quest 3/5). You will receive 8 Nightmare Units for defeating him. Depending on your level you could try to beat Ra Stavari who can be found in the cave left of the Inn ( Bounty 3/5). Nothing else of importance right here and now so you should go back North to continue your path onto the mountain.
Might And Magic 6 Promotion Quests
Cross the bridge and go South until you get to an annoying Demon who doesn't allow you entrance to the cave behind him. I guess you know the drill by now. Kick butt and go inside.
To the right there is another Unit Dwelling that sells Sorcerers ( Sorcerer Special Unit) and a bit to the North your next victim will be waiting, Bly ( Bounty 4/5). Don't forget to pick up the treasure located in the upper corner of this cave. You can find The Crippling Flail in this chest ( Artifact 8/10). Exit the cave and climb up the last part of the mountain to get a glimpse of Azexes.
This next part might seem very familiar to you! All we can do now is massacre some Wizards and Demons for the greater cause. The Succubus on the left and the Nightmare on the right can be recruited. Move North once you're done killing bad guys. A Wizard will pop out of the Portal trying to stop you destroying it. During the fight focus your attacks on the Portal and build walls, lots of walls. Enjoy the next scene which will open up a new road.
Upon entering this newly opened path the first thing we come across will be our last bounty, a guy named Phlecher ( Bounty 5/5). Go back to the Inn to get your last Bounty reward and achievement. You can talk one last time to the Bounty Agent but you won't like what he has to say. You're gonna have to talk him down ( Side Quest 4/5) which will get you The Chaos Crown ( Artifact 9/10). He is a Lv 10 though with 100 HP so watch out. After this little interlude we can go on where we left.
Defeat the Demons guarding the bridge before crossing it. On the other side there will be a treasure chest with Revive Flame ( Artifact 10/10) and if we cross yet another bridge we can fight The Pit Fiend ( Side Quest 5/5). He will give you 5 Pit Fiend Units for defeating him. Buckle up for the last part of this hellish roller-coaster and move on North. First the Wizard will attack you, instantly followed by the Demon.
These two shouldn't cause you any trouble so before you know it you're on the doorstep of Azexes' Lair. After a small cut-scene Aidan will go all berserk and with a hunger for blood he assaults Azexes. Azexes is a Lv 10 boss with 200 HP and he will be standing in the middle of the battlefield. During his first turn he will charge 2 attacks both taking 3 turns before being unleashed. Line up some attacks on his arms to avoid damage. There will also be 2 yellow lines circling next to him.
This is where he will move to after his attack so you can line up some Elite or Champion Units at this place. His second attack will be some kind of a laser beam which will be unleashed in front of him and takes 4 turns. His third attack will take 2 turns before it happens and there will be walls spawning randomly around him. You can already guess what's going to happen right?
Yep indeed, same trick as your special attack Fierce Brimstone. After this last kind of attack he will repeat the whole process, but it shouldn't take long anymore. Once he's defeated you'll have to say goodbye to Aidan (for now). Enjoy the final cutscene and move on to the last chapter of the game. Suggested area for Unstoppable Army!
There are random encounters in the area with the bridges near the end (Level 4 demons), in the cave south of the Inn (Level 2 demons) and in the area north of the Inn (Level 3 demons). You probably already figured out the area with the bridges is the most suitable level to grind exp.
